Thoughts of guilt and condemnation often come to all of us because our lives are not always what we think they should be. These thoughts can also affect our emotions and leave us feeling like God is far away or separated from us. Separation from God is an illusion and a lie. God says in His word that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Why? Because He promised us in His word that He would not. Not only that, but God lives on the inside of us as His children, as His heirs, never to depart. There is nothing we can do to run God away from us. No matter how bad the situation may be or how bad we may have messed up. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus.
I made a crucial decision a few months back that I believed was the right decision to make. I will be honest with you, however, there were times when thoughts of guilt came against me to try to make me feel like I was way off in my decision making. But God reassured my heart that I made the right decision. He also told me that if it was not the right decision, then His love for me would not have changed. His heart towards me would not have changed. He simply would have helped me to get back on the right track. He told me that whatever I do, don’t run from Him. Always come to Him because He is the only One who can help me. And I am convinced that God’s leading is a lot better than a GPS. He knows how to get us where He wants us to be.
This word may be for someone out there. If you have not always made the right decisions in life, don’t beat yourself up. God is not beating you up. I hear our Daddy God saying to us, “No guilt! No condemnation!” That is how He sees us. He sees us as completely and totally forgiven. He sees us as one with Him, and that we are not a disappointment to Him. If our hearts condemn us, then God is greater than our hearts. There is nothing we can do to provoke our Father to anger. We are the apple of His eye. We are His greatest delight. Right this moment, God is singing and rejoicing over us because He loves us.
Take courage beloved and know that God is our biggest Cheerleader, who is and always will be for us and not against us. Blessings!
